It also developed tobramycin for inhaled use for pulmonary infections treatment in patients with cystic fibroses.
RESEARCH THAT SAVES LIVES
One of the company´s highlights was the development of pulmonary surfactant Poractant Alfa, which continues to contribute significantly reducing the mortality of new born premature births with respiratory distress syndrome.
Currently, Chiesi group has more than 3,000 employees around the world being 300 located in Brazil, which 140 are exclusively focused on scientific dissemination for more than 30,000 physicians in Brazil.
Our facilities include a manufacture plant certified by ANVISA (Brazilian Health Authorities) and European Regulatory Agencies, located in Santana de Parnaíba and an office in São Paulo.
